- You’re placed in a region using your home postcode. One entry per player.

- All matches are 501, best of 7 legs, straight in, double out.
- Throw for the bull to decide who throws first in leg 1. After that, players take turns to throw first.
- Matches are played on a standard bristle board at regulation height (1.73m to the bullseye) and distance (2.37m oche).
- Matches are played in person at a neutral venue agreed by both players, for example a pub or club. Neither player’s home or home club can be used unless both players agree.
Group stage
- Groups of 4 players (sometimes 3 or 5), drawn from players living near each other.
- Play each player in your group once. All group matches must be played within 6 weeks of the draw.
- 2 points for a win. Ties in the table are decided by leg difference, then legs won, then the result between the tied players.
- The top 2 in each group go into the knockouts.
Knockouts and finals day
- Each knockout round must be played within 3 weeks of the draw being published.
- The last 32 play on finals day. Finals places are shared between the regions according to the number of entries from each.
Arranging matches and reporting results
- It’s up to both players to arrange each match in good time. Make contact early and offer a few dates.
- Report the result online as soon as the match is finished. Your opponent then confirms it. If they don’t respond within 48 hours, the result stands.
- If a match isn’t played by the deadline, the organisers decide the outcome. This may be a walkover to the player who made genuine efforts to arrange it, an extension, or removal of both players.
- Keep messages about arranging matches in writing (text or email) in case there’s a dispute.
Conduct
- Treat opponents and venues with respect. The organisers can remove any player for unsporting behaviour, without a refund.
- The organisers’ decision on any dispute is final.
